Patrick has definitely been accepted as one of the herd. Day by day, he’s also learning how to be a donkey.

I was thinking about Patrick as I went about my day yesterday. He is such a tender, sweet soul who was truly rescued in the most profound and literal way. What a calming of spirit, peace and sense of safety he must feel, perhaps for the first time in his life. How utterly strange and foreign it must feel. How right it seems that he has chosen Ellsworth as his most trusted friend amongst the herd and how full circle that feels knowing Ellsworth’s history a little bit. The sun must shine extra brightly on that little patch of earth known as Morning Bray. xoxo
