When Mom got home from work yesterday, there were some interesting sounds coming from the pasture. Was Abigail in a crabby mood? Was she being playful?
What do you think?

Looks to me like a little of each. Maybe she was just putting on a show to get Mom’s attention when she came home?

Ummmm….is she in heat? I don’t have goats so maybe I’m no help, but that sure can make my mares crabby. Did you try goat cookies?

Awwww, that little tail wiggle is a friendly thing usually, but she clearly had something important to say. So cute!

Goodness, she sounds human! I don’t know what she’s saying, but she certainly has something to say.

At first she just sounded sad… like she wanted to cry. Then she appeared to be playful at the end of the video. Makes me want to go give her a hug and say ‘there there… everything will be okay’. LOL

why do goats wear bells? I didn’t realize how many sounds they could make.

Lynette,
In our case, we’ve found having bells on Abigail and Leland helpful to prevent them from surprising/spooking Bernard and Ellsworth. Those kids are squirrely and we don’t want them getting kicked. 🙂
We didn’t realize how many sounds goats could make either.
