Bernard’s official mantra:
Life is too short to take seriously. Really.
Most evenings as we’re doing chores, donkey boy has other things in mind. Case in point, here are three minutes in a typical Bernard evening:
Chase Mom or Dad as they’re scooping poop…
…stop to annoy Ellsworth…
…then stop to say hello to Dad to have a cute photo taken. You can never have too many cute photos.
Finish it all off by paying a surprise visit to Mom and knock her over as she’s kneeling on the ground to take a picture of Ellsworth.
Everyone thought that was funny. I thought so too because Bernard is right, life is too short to take seriously. Really.

He sure loves his dad, doesn’t he? These donks make me laugh every time I read your blog. Great way to start my day and I thank you very much!

What an adorable, little goober! Even I wouldn’t mind scooping poop if I had that audience! Have a good weekend.

Oh! I forgot to tell you, the new header is great! Carson is a very talented lady. I’ve been following her blog for abt 2 yrs. now and it’s the 1st thing I pull up in the mornings. It just starts my day out right.

Oh, the look on Don’s and Ellworth’s faces in that last one. (I’m laughing with them, not at you.)

He is just full of naughtiness!
Question—is the blue house in the background in picture 3, yours? I’m guessing it is, since your barn is the same color blue.
The reason I’m asking—I was wondering if it wasn’t yours, what your neighbors think of donkey braying?
Just me wishing that my neighbors could put up with a bit of braying.

CeeCee,
Yes, that’s our house. Keep in mind we don’t have an HOA. Not that there hasn’t been any braying here, but we haven’t had a single complaint. Honestly, if there’s ever anything we can do to help you argue for having donkeys, we’re there.

Donkeys are such a fun addition to a ranch. Every time I go to Seein Spots Farm, where we got our boys, I want to bring more home. I love the new header. Such a beautiful picture….whoever took it (you?) is also very talented.

Oh my gosh, do I want a donkey! My coworker rescued one last year (I named him Dewey) and he’s about the sweetest thing ever. I just want to nuzzle their fuzzy heads and ears!

Great words to live by! Bernard knows how to have a good time! Laughed when he knocked you over. I bet he had a huge smile or twinkle in his eye after he did it! 🙂 Gotta love those longears!

Oh, very funny! All these shots are incredibly cute. My favorite is the first one, though. That look on sweet Bernard’s face is just too much. 🙂
LOVE the new header – great job, Linda!

Hey, Love the new banner. The boys always looks so cute! And they are completely right: life offers us just a short ride, why not have the most fun we can while on it?
PS: Ireland was my favorite trip ever, so I can highly recommend it!

Every time I visit here, I smile. And I agree 100%, Bernard! Also when I visit, I realize my donkey girls aren’t getting enough blog time lately. Time to remedy that! (parental guilt trip)
Love the pics, and the new header.

What a ham!
He sounds like my girl, Celine. MUST be in physical contact with me at all times. This makes for an interesting dance I do to avoid
a) tripping over her
b) stepping on her tail
c) spilling something hot on her
I do adore her though.
