Canada geese were still hanging out in our pasture yesterday after we irrigated Saturday. Seeing as how Fergus and Nigel hail from just outside Death Valley National Park in California, I wonder if they’ve ever seen geese before coming to Morning Bray Farm. Fergus seemed quite intrigued.
Poor Fergus. The geese didn’t seem quite as intrigued by him.
Wrapping things up from our 100th post celebration, Sandra asked to see what a Morning Bray Farm tote bag looks like. Here it is:
CeeCee asked us to explain how the boys had four very distinct emotions going on in the photo for that post. The answer: apple slices. ♥

Maybe Fergus was on a “wild goose chase”?

I did notice in that pic that Ellsworth’s ears were back – was he ticked off that he was having to wait for his slice of the apple? Hope your weekend was good. I added you as a friend on FB!

Nancy,
Yes, that was definitely Ellsworth’s way of saying, “I’d like my apple slice now, Mom.” Hope your weekend was good too! 🙂

Awwww, he was sure trying his best to say ‘hello’, wasn’t he. Some geese can be so cold hearted!

Geese are notoriously hard to herd. I admire Fergus’ ‘stick to it ness’!

Very cute post. My donkeys used to herd the chickens, then the wild bunnies. I love that your donkey boys are so calm and happy in their new loving home. You’re a good donkey mama.

It looks so nice and fresh and green. I don’t blame the geese for hanging around.
Even if they were being har-assed.

I especially love the videos when there are the natural sounds in the background. It sounds like you have 40 gazillion song birds there.

How funny. I’m thinking that a donkey boy from the desert doesn’t want to share even one blade of green, green grass with the interlopers. “Move along now, move along. Nothing to eat here.”

Love it!! My donks have never been given the chance to herd my geese. Might be a chance for some good entertainment from the looks of it 🙂 Also love the tote. Okayyyy, I will try apple slices again for my girls. I don’t know why they’ve never been interested in them before. Picky picky little girls!
