Every now and then we find Kassandra Dee studying a toad with quiet intensity.
Thankfully she knows better than to mess with them, because biting one will make her very sick.
If only she would learn the same lesson with skunks. Thanks to Carson for these next two shots. Just look at the ‘tude – from both the princess and the toad!

KD looks like she is saying “You will not beguile me into biting you. I really have no interest.” And the toad says “Did someone speak?”

Good thing she knows not to mess with the toad dude. With my dogs it’s stink bugs. They still eat the stupid things and then drool for a couple of hours.. ughsters.

Ha! Ha! Love those last pics and the comments by Lynette! PERFECT! My cats think they are the guardian princes of frogs, grasshoppers, bluebirds and SNAKES! They pretend with the birds just as Kassandra Dee did with this toad. :):)

I love toads! Unfortunately, one of my dogs does not share my love. She picked up our giant toad as a puppy and got a mouth full of toady ickiness–foaming at the mouth. From then on, she was out to get that toad. Always with the foaming mouth. This year, she unfortunately held on long enough to kill our toad. Bad dog!!
Your Kassandra Dee is a good dog!

Love the ‘tude shot! My Schnauzer Max grabbed a toad one time on a walk, and quickly spit it out. He even shied away from leaves after that, thinking they were all toads. Must have tasted awful. Ha-ha.

That third pic sums it up! Love it. 🙂
A few summers ago one of the outside cats thought it would be a good idea to eat a small frog. Talk about a dumb idea!! Thank goodness the cat was fine, but sadly the frog didn’t make it.
