Leave it to something like Mothra to push Don over the edge and officially into the blogosphere.
We were hanging out with my dad and the boys on Sunday afternoon when Don went rushing past me and into the house to get the other camera. He came back out and rushed straight back into the barn. I walked in to find this:
Me: What’cha lookin’ at?
Don: Look at the size of this thing!
Me: Wow, honey. That's awesome.
Here’s my perspective of what Don was looking at:
And here’s Don’s perspective:
Don: This sucker is huge! This is going to be a perfect blog post!
Me: Ok, hun.
I was sure Don had entered the blogosphere when he insisted I climb up on the hay bales with him to take this shot:

Well, whatever it takes. If I can blog about poop, who’s to say anything about a moth, especially one the size of Cleveland.

OK, really. You should warn a knitter before showing a picture of a moth. We have wool to protect, you know.

Welcome to the addiction Don. I’m a life long resident of “burque” and as a kid, we caught this type of moth inside moon flowers. It is awesome to hear/feel them move those gynormous wings at night. Lucky find and a great photos…I love the phrase Don moth whisperer, says The Olde Bagg

My condolences. *grin*
We saw the biggest dragonflies the other day on our bike ride. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my camera and they were zipping around like fighter pilots.

From Don – YES!! That’s it. Thank you. I spent several hours last night going through several hundred moth pictures trying to figure it out. 🙂 Although the stories about it seemed kind of spooky, because it landed over the stall door in the barn, maybe Bernard will win the lottery?

That is one spectacular moth!
Don’t you love it when they find things for you to take pics of?
My honey keeps his eye out, too, and points out things I haven’t noticed.
And takes me to golf courses. 🙂

Is this moth related to the army of moths that attacked your home last month when I visited you…Maybe they weren’t full grown but a black witch moth’s babies??? Just kidding! 🙂

Well, it is a big moth! Usually my husband is rushing in to tell me to get the camera there is a big ole snake out in the chicken house/barn eating eggs. I like the moth better.
Great pictures. I like the one comparing the moth with the dollar.
