We’re relaxing today after the Toby Keith concert last night. Did you know that while Toby Keith is from Oklahoma, he honed his craft in New Mexico? From Las Cruces to Taos and Clovis, he played every dive bar and honky-tonk that would have his band for five years before he got a record deal with Capitol Nashville. And, his 2008 movie, “Beer for My Horses” was filmed in New Mexico.

O Happy Friday indeed.
At first I thought the sprinklers were trained right ON the hammock.
Quelle idee! I thought. All the comfort of swimming without the investment in a pool!

I know a couple ponies (and several long ears) that would love to get their hooves in that grass.

Leah,
You’re absolutely right. 🙂
You should’ve been here before we had the last section of our fence put up… when Bernard or Ellsworth would make one of their famous escapes to the front lawn, it was hell catching them. They knew a good thing when they saw it.

I did not know that about Toby Keith. Must have been before my honkytonking days. Hope this means you have the day off from work.

We saw Toby at our Calif. MidState Fair a couple weeks ago. Trace Adkins opened for him and it was great! It was the 3rd time I’ve seen Toby at our fair. The next night was Keith Urban and I LOVED him! So we went out 2 nights in a row….pretty incredible for us since we are “early to bed” ranch people at this time in our lives;-) Now we need to rest up to see who performs next summer.

Denise,
It was great! Loved every minute of it. We had James Otto – then Trace Adkins – then Toby Keith. Oh.my.goodness.

Innit fun to play with your pics?????
I suppose it’s not a good thing to take your camera with you to lie on that hammock…..
Unless you have one of those fancy waterproof cover thingies. Or an underwater disposable…..
