Are these wild, or are they in your garden?
I love all sunflowers, but mine rarely make it to ‘harvest’. The squirrels take the whole heads off the plant.
Wow, another variety that I’ve never seen before – and so pretty! I grew about 18 diff varieties last year and this year, the volunteers that got planted by our squirrels and chipmunks gave me some new ones, too.

These are in our xeriscape garden. We’re astounded at how much they’ve grown since we planted them last year.
I’ll consider us lucky that Lenny et al. (our squirrels) did not eat them. 🙂
