To this day, I still think Lonesome Dove is my best part.
–Robert Duvall
—————————————————————————————————————
Two doves meeting in the sky
Two loves hand in hand, eye to eye
Two parts of a loving whole
Two hearts and a single soul
Two stars shining big and bright
Two fires bringing warmth and light
Two songs played in perfect tune
Two flowers growing into bloom
Two doves gliding in the air
Two loves free without a care
Two parts of a loving whole
Two hearts and a single soul

We get these at our bird feeder here in WI. My husband always says these are his favorites. Then a cardinal comes along and that becomes his favorite, then a goldfinch, well, I think they are ALL our favorites!

They’ve been living at your farm for so long, surely they must have names?

We get them too. I was really surprised at how aggressive they can be – and territorial. I always make sure to throw feed on the ground for ’em…Do they have names?

They’re so quiet and sweet. I wish our White-winged Doves would take a lesson from your Mourning Doves.
Robert Duvall–(((sigh))). I cry like a baby every time I watch “Gus” die.
