We just wrapped up a wonderful visit with Don’s sister, Debbie, and her boyfriend, Derek. Great family, great food and great fun made for a fantastic couple of days.
Debbie was smitten with Nigel, and Nigel with Debbie.
They spent a lot of time together, which was wonderful for Nigel.
Not to worry, though. There was plenty of love, attention and affection for everyone.
Ellsworth and his Aunt Debbie shared some laughs.
Debbie was so at ease with the boys. They knew they had it good with her here visiting. She’s a beautiful person, inside and out.
Just look at the smile on Ellsworth’s face.
His ears are another pretty good indicator of his happiness.
There aren’t too many things better in Ellsworth’s book than a good ear scratch.
Thank you, Aunt Debbie.
Bernard gave out lots of hugs…
… and had fun playing his donkey games with Derek.
It warmed my heart to see Fergus showing affection to both Debbie…
… and Derek. Fergus has come such a long way in such a short amount of time.
By the way, Derek is a phenomenal chef, a masterful bartender and an incredibly fun person to be with.
Before they left for the airport, Derek and Debbie presented us with this process flow map for dog barking at Morning Bray Farm. It’s spot on. ♥

Deb and I could not have had a better trip. MBF is a place of peace, humor and happiness. This, and your and Don’s love for each other and all the animals (coyotes excluded) comes across daily in the blog. There are so many, I’m certain your challenge is in choosing which moments to capture and share.
I know we are not the only ones who appreciate the artistry and soul you put into these pages (on this entry alone, there are two of the best Deb pics I have seen, let alone all the smiling donkeys).
To that end, it’s important to note that the camera adds. . .500lbs. In real life, Elsworth is as skinny as Nigel appears!

What a great family you have, human and critter! And a chef/bartender rolled into one…that’s an extra bonus!
The boys really seemed to love their aunt Debbie!

Great pics. You can for sure see the donkey smiles. Not sure who had more fun. The boys or Deb or Derek. Hmmmm.
And he’s a chef!! Yum!!!!! Maybe he could whip something up for the boys for the holidays?! And of course send something to you. 🙂

NO WAY, Nigel gave kisses??! I’m so jealous of all the donkey love. 🙂
Again, Ellsworth steals the show with his quiet, gentle spirit.

What a great set of pics!
Love all the happiness clearly visible on everyone’s faces.
So glad Nigel has decided it’s time to get his fair share (with maybe a bit of catching up to do!) of loving.

What a happy looking bunch! I’d love to know where Debbie got her carrot-flavored lip gloss. Nigel seems to be quite the fan.
And yes, Ellsworth has the best smile.
