Look familiar? This is yesterday’s daily lineup. Honest to goodness, as always, the boys were in the same order and same direction.
And, as usual, Bernard was in a playful mood and was aggravating Fergus, who, along with Nigel, was trying to catch a few winks before dinner. For the first time in a while, Ellsworth was doing his mouth thing again.
Being that it was another beautiful fall day, I wanted to spend some time with the boys. I felt a bit like the Pied Piper leading them out to the pasture.
This shot of Ellsworth’s whiskers is for Cathy.
Ellsworth is ordinarily so relaxed, he’s practically horizontal. Look at the hint of a smile at the corner of his mouth.
But there he goes with that mouth thing again. He only does this when flies are on his face.
Of course, Bernard’s always there when Ellsworth needs a hug.
And, as always, Bernard is ready to play.

The last photo makes me want to reach out and pat that soft nose.

Ellsworth is an odd boy.
Happy. And sweet. But odd.

Here’s a thought. They all form a straight line walking over to the barn, and once they stop, Bernard is the goober who gets OUT of line to bug everyone else IN line. That’s why they’re always lined up the same old same old way.
(I had a brother like that growing up…he was always out of line checking to see if the others were lined up correctly. Ha-ha!)

Maybe Ellsworth’s ears were burning…KD and I were talking about him and all your other boys yesterday. I’ll fill you in later.

Oh, that shot of Ellsworth’s whiskers is wonderful!!! And the hint of a smile. He has a good thing and knows it.
I checked the Cavalia horses during our back stage (back stable?) tour, but they must have trimmed off their wiskers.
George and Alan have nice ones, though!

The boys are simply and easily loved by many of us. I can’t say which one is the best because each one has different personality and I love them all.

Love that picture of Ellsworth resting on Bernard. So peaceful. And the pied-piper picture, too. You need to have Linda document that little group stroll sometime!

The pictures are so good! The grass looks so green. We need a good rain here to liven things up.
Jack makes that same face.
Ellsworth, Bernard and all the boys are just so dawg gone cute!
Have a great day.
