Love love love!! Such nice round tummies and thick coats for the winter. I bet they look back on their “wild” times and know that they are so much better off with you and Don!
Funny you should mention the thick coats… Last night, Don and I were looking at a picture of Bernard taken over the summer. His coat was short and smooth and his head was minus any of the curly fuzz he currently sports. It was a remarkable difference! 🙂
Yes, they are. It’s still a rarity that I can take photos of Fergus and Nigel at play because most often when they see us, they stop what they’re doing to come over and say hello. So, having these pictures is a treat for me. 🙂
And… I have Paco treats in the oven right now. I made them with crushed candy canes and they smell absolutely delish. The boys are going to love them. 😀
We all know donkeys don’t need much of a reason to celebrate and have tons of fun. Happy Birthday!! Those treats sound delicious, I might have to make some for Harry and Gunny.
it’s the birthday dance =o) or could it be their anticipation of santa clause? doubtful with it being 63 degrees (that was just mean bringing that up, by the way carson)
Your Birthday?? Why, Happy Happy Birthday!! I love seeing pictures of your fabulous boys, but seeing them play is even more wonderful. My girls and I were very inspired by Fergus’ festive pic from earlier this week. Check us out 🙂
Thank you! We actually spent several hours with Nigel today. Don was able to really touch Nigel’s face and put a halter on top of Nigel’s head for the first time!
Terrific and that made it so special for you and your birthday. Happy Birthday, my dear girl! How nice it is to have 63 degrees yesterday! It’s so cold out here in MD with snow and wind…It’s supposed to get a bit “warmer” to 37 degrees tomorrow.

They heard it would be 63 gorgeous degrees today, and that today is your birthday – two great reasons to kick up their heels.

Denise,
Thank you!
Harry and Gunny will love you even more than they already do for making them Paco treats. Here’s a link to the post with the recipe: https://morningbrayfarm.com/2010/05/26/cookie-monsters/
I added four crushed candy canes to today’s batch and they do smell heavenly baking in the oven. The boys LOVE them. 😀
