Last March, I listened in horror as our neighbor told me that she saw Bernard pick up a five gallon bucket and start beating Ellsworth with it.
Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of experiencing a Bernard bucket beating. Now I know how Ellsworth feels.
You see, Bernard is obsessed with buckets.
He loves picking them up.
And he’s a big fan of sharing.
What a sweet, thoughtful boy.
**B-O-N-K** That was the sound of the bucket hitting me in the head.

Your fault.
You were supposed to turn your head and grab it with your teeth.

Barnyard! That’s no way to get treats! (Get mama treated for injuries, yes, but that’s different.)

Ouch!
A difficult situation, when one person’s game is another person’s split lip (or….).
Humans are so fragile, in comparison to other species……

LOL I agree with June! Russell does the same thing…only Hawk understands the game and grabs the other side of the bucket. Then they both proceed to dragging/pushing it all over the turn-out. We call it the bucket game. 🙂

Poor Bernard, he just wants to play.
I hope you aren’t bruised because of his need to share. 🙂

Oh dear. Bernard is a little too enthusiastic in his application of his bucket list.
Hope the bruises heal eventually.

Uh huh…. he is definitely looking for a treat. In the last picture he is surely showing you the emptiness of his bucket.

Ha ha ha! The very first comment from June made me laugh and laugh!!
Seriously, though, I’m sure that Bernard was a little frustrated that you weren’t playing the game right. 🙂
*LOVE* your sunshine. sigh.

How cute! I almost never witness bucket-carrying but I do notice they are never in the same place when I return 🙂
