Is there anything as joyful as this herd of free and happy donkeys running around! I will never, ever, get that first picture of Patrick, curled up and dejected, out of my head. For years to come, I will watch the happy antics of your characters and always, always remember that shot.

I’ve got to stop this crying so early in the morning. Patrick is something else. It’s been such a short time and already he can run without fear of something painful happening.
Thank you for giving him a place where he can feel safe, and thank you for sharing this video with us.

I’m just thrilled to see how well Patrick is doing. I’ve been following for a few days and the video this morning just filled my heart with gladness for the little guy. This is the first time I have left a comment, but I just had to tell you what a wonderful thing you did for that “no name” donkey. After following the 7MSN blog (because I like to follow Miss Lucy, I’m her before mom) I keep checking in on your blog. Love those Longears. Have a wonderful day 🙂

Just great! Love the video!
I can hear the sound of a bird that maybe is Guineafowl, that in Portuguese we call “galinha d’angola”.
So beautiful the first spring flowers.
Thanks for sharing!

Wow, what a difference you have made to that sweet little boy. I am amazed at how quickly he has transformed from that sad boy to running without fear in his pasture with his brothers. Once again, thank you for saving him.

How many times will I watch this video today…
In the scene that starts around 15 seconds in, is Patrick on the far left running behind everyone or is he the one on Ellsworth’s left?

Believe it or not, Patrick is the one on Ellsworth’s left. Bernard is the one left running behind everyone… he must have been distracted by something in the side pasture. 😉

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, OH MY GOSH – look at Patrick running…and he’s running with the herd!!! Oh Justina…didn’t you just stand there and bawl? Look how light and free he looks. And playing with Ellsworth! I gotta tell you, after that first day, I had totally anticipated a bit of a rougher beginning with Ellsworth, but wow. I am so impressed. I just want to give everybody great big hugs for welcoming Patrick to the herd so heartily!

Teary eyed here in Indiana! Yesterday I just kept thinking about Ellsworth opening the gate and Patrick running for it to come in with the others. What a beautiful guy he is. I am so thankful for you and Don and the loving herd of donkeys you have. The momma drama is hilarious and there Patrick is giving the big eyes with Bernard. He’s just drinking in all the goodness with all he has. I love it! Blessings to all of you.

Delightful ! And Interesting … I thought it would be Bernard and Patrick teaming up as playmates if only because they’re the “kids” in the group. Of course they’re all young Donkeys anyway, but I didn’t expect Ellsworth, being slightly less young and also the boss of the herd, to be Patrick’s first and best playmate. Hope Bernard isn’t jealous.

Just got home from work and am able to watch the video…amazing! Such a total contrast to where he came from. Y’all had better watch out, he’s gonna be a troublemaker for SHORE! 😀 Bonus butt scritches for Ellsworth; what a great guy.
Gotta go watch it again, now… 😉

I loved the video! Unfortunately, Patrick probably had to “learn” how to run in the past. So glad it is working out for all of your boys now! I had some green beer yesterday also. Wondering what “several” drops of green food coloring will do to you 🙂

OMG the first pic is the best!! I keep looking at it and cracking up and getting teary-eyed all at the same time 😀 The green beer and the position of Patrick’s eye and THE NOSE!! Then another great ending by Morning Bray with a video that I keep watching over and over again. I was going to suggest a video and you must have read my thoughts! Thanks for putting yet another huge smile on my face.
