I’ve always been a fan of Reese Witherspoon and her movies, from Walk the Line to Legally Blonde to Sweet Home Alabama.
Yes, she’s beautiful, and yes, she’s an Academy Award-winning actress. There’s another reason to love her though.
Reese Witherspoon has donkeys.
Their names are Honky and Tonky, and she calls them badonkadonks. Reese also has two pigs, three goats, a horse, three dogs and 20 chickens.
I found out about Reese and her donkeys because a friend sent me an email with the subject, “because you need to know about this”. Norma’s email included a link to this article, which details a bit about Reese being in a donkey dispute with her neighbors. (Norma knows I love everything donkey.)
Apparently, Reese’s neighbors aren’t enamored with Honky and Tonky’s braying. We think her neighbors must not know how wonderful donkeys are and hope they’ll get to meet Honky and Tonky so they can attach the braying to something outrageously cute and friendly.

I ran across that article yesterday and I was thinking along the same lines… She needs to invite ’em over for a meet & greet! That’d change their minds!

I had a few issues with my neighbors when I first got Russell. They have since gotten over it. Plus, he doesn’t bray nearly as much as he did when I first got him. She needs to invite her neighbors over for a meet and greet with her donks. They’ll fall in love and learn to enjoy that happy sound! 🙂

Tight ass neighbours. Oh! Did I say that out loud…? She should bring home a rooster. *snort*
Or…invite them over to meet the boys and see how fast they start to swoon. I think I’d enjoy hanging out with Reese. She seems like the girlfriend type.

I also hope that the dispute with her neighbors can be resolved soon!
I prefer so much to hear a Honky and Tonky’s braying than bad noise of transit and honk of cars. Love the sound of animals and nature.

Yeah I liked Ms. Reese before…..now I admire her. It’s that donkey point of view that does it. And like the others I agree….have a little wine and cheese shindig for the neighbors and introduce them to the bray artists. There’s no way you could not fall in love.
That’s the one thing Shelley remarked about with Da Boyz….they are so polite and not a one of them “voiced” an opinion when we visited. Hi Bernard…waving.
You know…you never can tell if Reese might be filming near ABQ, everyone else and their uncle is. Must be the season.

I’d much rather have Reese’s donkeys as neighbors than the ones I have…….
I”ve always liked her also.

How cool! Well, not that Honky and Tonky are troublesome, but that Reese is a donkey lover! Who knows, maybe someday we’ll see a post about her visit to Morning Bray!
