It was Thursday evening and I arrived home just as the sun was setting.
I found seven donkeys playing, grabbed my camera, and jumped out of my truck as fast as I could.
Joy to my heart. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Gosh, I still get tears in my eyes when I see Patrick being happy. I found myself glancing down at the time on the video and wishing that it would last longer!

It is such a joy to see them so well integrated into one herd. What a welcome home – may there be many more like that!

Happy dance! How wonderful for all of them and for you and Don.
PS..Have you got a field full of geese nearby? I can hear them in the background.

Of course they’re happy! My heart soars knowing how dramatically the lives of many of them have changed since coming to live at Morning Bray. “Home on the Range” was playing in my head while I watched them frolic in the field. And, that final scene of them all heading in for dinner is pure bliss. Such a tranquil place you come home to.

I enjoyed the video very much. I noticed that Harriett was walking and did not seem to have the same pep in her step as the others. Did I miss something or are her feet still a problem for her? One other question. Have the neighbors ever complained of the braying? Just wondering if the braying would be annoying to other people. I one love to hear those donkeys. If only I were younger- just can not adopt any for I have no one that I could depend on to take care of them after I bite the dust.

I think Harriet is still “adjusting” to her new life… she blooms a little more with each day. 🙂
Knock on wood… no complaints yet. We’re very fortunate that all of our neighbors are animal lovers. 😀

It tickles me…..They’re running and playing and all of a sudden the dinner line forms and down the fence they go. I’m glad Harriet is finding her place.
