Fergus definitely picked us.
And so did someone else. We haven’t picked a name for him yet and it’s driving me crazy that I don’t know what to call him. I’m driving Don crazy too.
There’s so much to tell you and we promise to fill you in as soon as we can. We got home yesterday afternoon to miserably high winds, followed by heavy rains, which lasted all night. It’s a big mucky mess here today.
The donkey boys are very excited about their new brothers. Bernard seems super excited and we all can’t wait to physically introduce donkeys and burros… perhaps later today. I have reassured Bernard that he is still the baby and always will be.
For now, everyone is doing fine.
And I can’t imagine being happier.

Congratulations on the newest members of your family. I look foward to following their daily adventures on your blog. You are living the dream. I can’t wait for the day when I have enough land to take the trip to Colorado and get my own two burros.

They’re such cute little eensy-beansy guys!
Boy, are you gonna have a ball with that whole crew! You won’t have time to do anything except hang out with them!
…and what better use of your time, after all?

I am so glad about the two new additions to your furry family:)) So… two of them picked you… they felt you were going to offer them a great home:) Give the nameless burro time, when you get to know him better, you will have no problems nameing him.. for example Oscar or Joshua or Burrito… Can’t wait to read about their antics:)))

lucky burros! I misread Fergus’ name and thought it was Festus. If that had been the case burro 4 could be Marshall Dillon.
Bertram, Andy, SamElliott, Autry are our suggestions.

I like the Highland flavor of the name Fergus, maybe the sweet other one needs something redolent of heather and the moors, too.

The wide-eyed wonderment in their faces in that last shot is priceless. And Bernard sticking his little head through the fence… It’s taking every ounce of willpower not to jump in the truck right now! See you in the morning, come hell or high water.

Fergus and buddy are SO handsome! I love the fact that all four are different colors – not to mention personalities, which we shall discover in time.
How happy you both must be that you have these wonderful boys to love every day – and God Bless You for giving them a chance to live out their lives pampered and catered to – as all our four legged children should be ๐
Add to the list of name suggestions: Buddy, Angus, Sam

HA!! I knew it. I knew you’d come home with two!
I’m so excited, I might fly out to visit you tomorrow. Kidding, but I’m just thrilled for you.
Maybe you should wait a couple days on the name. I’ve found that my adoptees often ‘tell’ me what their names are. Sounds wonky, I know, but I’m wonky that way.

What a very special day at your ranch, and I can see that all of the boys are thrilled! I love happy beginnings and happy endings. Anytime a creature is given a home such as yours it’s a very good thing.
