okay, CeeCee……you stole my comment! That is exactly what was going through my head and I was going to use those exact words……oh well a day late a dollar short or great minds think alike!
Of course Bernard would be the brave one to go bite the great pumpkin! 🙂 Here, the javelina come right up on your porches and eat them. They don’t leave any leftovers for donkey boys. 😦
As soon as I saw that first frame, I immediately heard the opening bars of the old spaghetti western, The Good, The Bad & The Ugly with Clint Eastwood. Stare down at the MB Corral.

I think I hear the theme song to “Jaws” when I look at that first photo.
The pumpkin doesn’t have a chance! Ha-ha.

Wow! Was he eating it or just pretending it was a toy in need of shredding?

Deb,
He didn’t eat much of it. It was definitely more of a chew toy for him. 🙂

Ha, good one Linda!
I love the first picture–“I’m not gonna go see what it is, you go see what it is.” “No, you go, I’m not going.”…..

Gosh – I guess I’m surprised they didn’t like ’em. I thought they’d pretty much eat anything.

That is AWESOME! And at least it is a chew toy that can’t hurt them if they swallow bits and pieces.
I thought for sure that Bernard would push it around for a while, though…

I couldn’t help but notice from that first picture that Fergus and Nigel have quite different builds. Looks like Fergus is an easy keeper 🙂

Gayle,
You’re absolutely right. Nigel is taller and leaner and much leggier than Fergus. Nigel is also much more horse-like in the face.
You’re also right about Fergus being an easy keeper. 🙂

Great photos! I tried giving a pumpkin to my Haffies – they weren’t biting! That surprised me because one is a real chow hound!
