    Great photos, Justina!

Our backyard bird feeders are constant sources of entertainment for us…and it looks like your’s are, too!

I was just thinking, yesterday, about bird toes, and about their joints…. Perfect peek at ‘hatch toes!

      Denise,

For this series of photos, I used a Canon EOS Rebel XT camera with a Canon EF 100-400 lens.

Wow, great shots Justina! You got every detail of this wonderful beauty sharp.
I see him first time. He is a relative to my Kleiber!

    Lovely photos !
What’s that mixture you’re feeding ? It looks like sweetfeed-on-a-stick, high calorie food to keep the little birdies warm. Bet the Longears would eat it if they got a chance 🙂

      gazelle,

It’s something like sweetfeed-on-a-stick, and you betcha… the boys would eat it in a second, I’m sure.

We put that particular mixture up (along with a specialized house) to entice flickers to our yard. 🙂 Turns out I saw a flicker on that very feeder for the first time on Sunday! 😀

Fabulous shots! I had to move my feeders and will probably have to build a blind of some sort to get good pictures again.

What exquisite photos!! Thank you for sharing.

Such a refreshing change from my Arsenal tour this am where I had to explain that Prairie Dogs do not prey on Red Tail Hawks.

No, I did not type that backwards.
