    Is that a coyote?
I wonder if he was running to something . . .
    or away from something…

Yowsah. Was he chasing or being chased? I’ve never seen the coyotes out here running that fast…they must be more laid back in the country.

    Ooooh. Amazing shots, Justina!
How’d the donkey boys react to him?

Is he on the neighbor’s side of the fence who have the poultry? (Run, chickies, run!)

Bet your boys do a great job of keeping him away from your place! 🙂

    Excellent stop-action!!!!!!! 🙂

I especially like that last shot with it flying.

I’m with C in WI — “run, chickies, run!”

How the heck did you get those shots? Do you have a machine-gun setting on your camera?

How far apart are those fence posts? He’s covering a lot of ground in one stride- great shots. Bet he doesn’t hang around the donkeys- they’d make short work of him.

Great pictures, but I don’t love coyotes.
One ate my beloved kitty, Lucky. No laughing, I realize the irony of that sentence. 🙂

Goodness, he does like so wild especially when running away either from or toward something in sight! Ditto after C!

Great shots. I really like coyotes. I know they eat other critters that I also really love, but I can’t help myself. I like them. :o/

    WOW!! Those are amazing pics!
So,what did the boys think of seeing a coyote? Was there lots of braying letting you know a predator was close?

Cee Cee, none of us would ever laugh at Lucky’s misfortune. So sorry that happened.

We have a Coyote problem here at the moment. Well not so much a Coyote problem as a people interfering with Coyotes problem. There has been a colony of 28 Feral Cats living near the Marina in a local park for the past 15 years. They have all been spayed/neutered and are well fed and well cared for by a group of dedicated volunteers. There have also been Coyotes living in the adjacent bluffs for years with no interaction between the two groups. Lately some hateful person who lives in one of the House Boats at the Marina has taken it upon herself to get rid of the Cats. Having failed with complaints to City Animal Control and the Health Dept, her latest tactic has been to lure the Coyotes into the park by laying a trail of raw chicken and other edibles from the bluffs right up to the Cat shelters. Three Cats have been killed so far. For the past week volunteers have been standing guard all through the frigid nights to chase away the Coyotes. Other volunteers are frantically trying to find homes for the Cats as they can no longer safely live there. I don’t blame the Coyotes. In fact I admire the species. This is 100% a people problem.

Sorry Justina for going so far off topic. I just needed to vent. Your pics are great, as usual.

    Hi Justina,
Next week I will do a post about my and Flora’s “virtual dogs friends” who loves to take a nap on Mom’s bed and on the couch. May I post a photo of Enzi in bed on my blog? Please, let me know if I could do it. Thank you.
