Gorgeous pictures of my favorite tree and they won’t bloom here until mid April or so so I may miss the bloomings here both at Leisure World and East Gude Drive in Gaithersburg…Boo Hoo! I’m hoping to visit Tidal Basin in mid of this week if the supposedly expected snow early tomorrow morning doesn[‘t damage the Cherry Blossom.
MeMaw – I lived in Gaithersburg for 3 years in the 90s, and I loved the Bradford Pears that lined some of the roads! They are beautiful!!! My favorite blooming trees, next to Dogwoods.
We were practically neighbors then! π I lived in Darnestown just prior to moving to NM… and am proud to say that I grew up in a beautiful little town called Poolesville. π Don grew up in Dickerson. It’s a small world, isn’t it?
What beautiful flowers…I am quite ready for spring so this is a welcome diversion from our current hideous windfests! It looks so beautiful and warm there! Perhaps the fourpack and herd of 8 and I will sneak into the morning bray burro barn for the next month. I’m sure no one will notice π
I’ve never seen their blossoms before — how beautiful. I’m in central Indiana and so far in March we’ve had 60 and 70 degree weather, days of high wind, thunderstorms as well as snow and freezing weather at night this week. The birds have paired up and the trees are budding. It’s actually a pretty typical and nice March here. Soon we’ll be seeing flowering trees, too, and it’s so nice to see what’s happening in your part of the world. Blessings and much appreciation to you, Don and all your wonderful critters.
Wow Justina, I canΒ΄t believe that this photos are actually from this days?? Have you put the tree in a time machine?
Wonderful photos from wonderful blossoms!
I would love to see some Spring!!! It’s 35 here now, still a few tiny spots of snow on the ground from 2 nights ago, and we may get more in the next few days. Your photos are beautiful, and would make wonderful desktop backgrounds!
So pretty!!! It was snowing/sleeting on my way to work this morning, which actually worked out really well because I finished knitting a quick bulky wool/alpaca head wrap this weekend. I got to wear it before it completely warms up!!

Oh, and do you get edible pears out of these trees? I bet the burro boys would love that!
