I love pink cosmos! The insects always look so striking against that background. Even that cucumber beetle.

      CeeCee,

So that’s what it is… a cucumber beetle. Thank you! 🙂

      Carolynn,

The color reminded me of an old fashioned creamsicle in pink. 🙂

So interesting, how many different kinds of bees there are………

I have bees-on-goldenrod in an upcoming post, but my bees don’t show up nearly as well as yours. And they’re clearly different bees. Smaller, shorter body, shorter legs…..

    Love your cosmos, too….

      Vicki,

Yes, it is interesting… and despite the fact that my uncle is a beekeeper, I don’t know how many different species there are.

In addition to the bees that I featured in this post, there were also many of the typical bumblebee bees… they didn’t photograph as well because they were very dark.

We’ll never stop learning, will we? 🙂

She looks as fascinated with the flower as you are with her. A wonderful bit of spiritual symmetry, isn’t it?
