Spotted in downtown Albuquerque yesterday. A sure sign that spring is on its way:
“Forsythia is pure joy. There is not an ounce, not a glimmer of sadness or even knowledge in forsythia. Pure, undiluted, untouched joy.”

We have snowdrops in the neighborhood……….. Somehow white flowers don’t do it for me at this time of year. 🙂

Some of our daffodils are literally bursting at the seams…but the sun was hidden yesterday, so they have yet to bloom. Maybe today. (And all the hardwood trees in the park burst their buds this weekend. Not so good when we’re likely to get another freeze before spring…)

I hope springtime is as lovely for you as the hope that the forsythia brings.

I used to have some but life here on the west mesa isn’t good for anything but cactus. Wish I could grow it again.

It IS coming… isn’t it?!
We have forsythia… and the buds are swelling. Last year it didn’t blossom – but it had been so neglected. Maybe we’ll get color this year. Here’s hoping!
Thanks for sharing a glimmer of spring. I need it!

No signs of spring here yet, although I think we’ve seen the last of fresh snowfall for another year.

Far away from spring temperatures I love to see the first forsythias in your area Justina.
Shivering goes on here…

Beautiful photos. Forsythia is one of my spring favorites. We won’t see them here for another 6 weeks to 2 months. Come on spring!
