Is the green messing with your head? How about the rain? My first year away from the West made me a little loopy. Now I only faintly remember brown summers and no snow–ever. BTW, how do you put your signature on your photographs? I like that and would like to do that to mine.

Barb,
Not so much really… we’re originally from Maryland, so we’re used to the precip and the green. Although we did pick a heck of a winter to move back east, didn’t we?
Check out Picmonkey.com – you can easily add text to your photos there. 🙂

I had similar thoughts to Barb’s. Having lived out here only since ’07, I still cringe a bit when I see field after field of corn, wheat, whatever, being irrigated. I can’t imagine having that much water at one’s disposal!
The flowers are magnificent… and I love the chipmunk!

Oh yea, that cage is definitely keeping the chipmunks out of the bird food–NOT! 🙂

CeeCee,
That little piggy, a.k.a. Monsieur Chippy, has now eaten through at least half of that seed block. 😀

All of these spring flowers must be such a delight. Had you been to this property in the spring, before you bought it and moved from the West? The photos are just wonderful.

Jill,
We had not been to this property before we drove here from New Mexico… we’re renting until we get the lay of the land here. There are flowers everywhere! 🙂

I had to look up exactly where Virginia is (it is where I thought it is) – even though you are on the other side of the continent and so much further south from me (I’m on Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada), you have the exact same flowers in bloom as we do!

Oh, how lovely. I’m totally envious. We’re still getting snow, if you can believe it!!! *sigh* How did that cheeky little chipmunk get inside there?
You have a heavenly place.

Carolynn,
I can’t believe it and I’m sorry. Hang in there… spring will come soon. I didn’t think it would ever come here, but it did.
That cheeky little chipmunk can squeeze his way through the littlest of spaces! xoxo

What a breathtaking series of spring shots! We can use the inspiration around here. The snow has just melted (although it fell again just north of us!!!) – and our poor brave daffodils are daring each other to bloom. Love the fence row with the flowerbeds in front. Happy spring down there!

Oh, sigh…. so lovely! Those bluebells are delightful. Do the donkeys try to snack on all those lovely flowers?

Shirley,
I can’t remember ever seeing Virginia bluebells before now… they are beautiful, aren’t they? 🙂 Fortunately, there aren’t any flowers in the donkey pasture that I know of… I’d be worried about them eating something poisonous or toxic. 😦
