“The leaves fall, the wind blows, and the farm country slowly changes from the summer cottons into its winter wools.” ~Henry Beston
We had a good summer at Morning Bray Farm.
The herd loves their new farrier. Pedicures long ago stopped being an inconvenience for Ellsworth:
Grace did extremely well with her first pedicures this summer:
We had the occasional peeping Moo:
We enjoyed many beautiful early mornings:
…and the summer storms fondly remembered from my youth:
I had the gardens I’ve always dreamed of:
And, now…
“It is a delightful pastime to sit in the pleasant sunshine of autumn, and gazing from this little spot of free earth over such a landscape, let the imagination luxuriate amid the thrilling associations of the scene!” ~H.T. Tuckerman, San Marino
We hope all is well in your world. ♥

Your post today (my birthday!) was inspiring – especially as we plan to begin our search in earnest next spring for a country property where we can retire and enjoy the peace and tranquility (and, hopefully, donkeys!) it promises us!

Very nice post. I have just blogged on my Spanish donkey blog Equus Asinus and mentioned your blog post from three years ago when you played a video of braying to your donkeys. I did the same experiment today.
