Last, but certainly not least, we’d like to introduce you to the masters of escape here at Morning Bray Farm. If there’s a way out, rest assured that Leland and Abigail will find it. (Remember to click on any photo for a larger view.)
This is Leland,
and this is Abigail.
A modification or two has been made to our fences and gates since their arrival one year ago. We love that they keep us on our toes.

They are about the cutest!
When we got our goats folks told us if the fence would hold water,it would hold goats. We laughed til we realized how true it was!

Yep. Had one goat. Keeping the goat in a fence was a full time job. Gave up. He buddied with up with the Great Pyrennes so we just let him go. Sigh.

We don’t have goats, but do have a female rottie that used to search for escape routes from the back yard. We currently have a cement block where she tried to go under the chain link fence after a kitty cat on the other side.
I’ve heard that goats are quite mischievous so I feel your pain.

OMG, I remember last year Abigail went through a hole in the back fence into the alfalfa field. I thought there was something wrong with my eyes. When she realized that I saw her, she came running back into the pasture. I immediately told Don and he got the fence fixed. She’s obviously now figured other ways despite growing up and getting bigger since then…

I love Abigail and Leland! They look like quite the personalities! Pete and Reggie, my goat boys, would be incredibly jealous of those gorgeous horns. Loved your examples of pen fortification! 🙂

Don’t leave the camera anywhere near Abigail. I think she was peeking to try to see how you were workin’ it.

I didn’t know you were Ellesworth’s Mom. I have a tiny crush on Ellesworth…although, Bernard has upped the cute factor here more than just a little bit.
Thanks for stopping by my place and leaving a note on my doorstep.
