We always look forward to Carson‘s visits.
Carson has the patience of a saint when she’s working with the boys, and she’s a great teacher to me.
I was thrilled on Saturday when Carson wanted to work on clicker training using the chucker. Even Nigel got into it.
It didn’t take but a few minutes for Fergus to catch on.
He was all too happy when he realized if he touched the glove, he was going to get one of the peppermint candies Aunt Linda brought for them. I was all too happy when I saw first hand exactly how clicker training works and how it’s going to help us with other things, such as getting Fergus to lead.
Of course, Carson was practically accosted by young Bernard once he realized she had peppermint treats.
Peppermint treats or not, the boys wanted to be wherever Aunt Linda was, and I had fun being able to take pictures of Carson taking pictures. When does that ever happen?
Nigel is so close to letting us really touch him.
Of course the boys enjoyed their butt scritches and took full advantage of the fact that Aunt Linda was doling them out.
This was the first time for Carson to see Fergus and Nigel since the day after they arrived at Morning Bray.
They’ve come a long way since then.
Carson loves spending time with the boys just as much as we do. We think that’s super cool.
Bernard couldn’t agree more. I so wish I had gotten a picture of Bernard wrapping himself around Carson. She said she felt like she was being squeezed by an octopus. Mind you, Bernard doesn’t do that to just anyone… only the people he loves. ♥

I would have loved to be there to see all of it firsthand. Thrilling . . . in a very deep place…

What a great, fun day that must have been. It’s quite obvious by the pictures that Carson loves the boys just as much as they love her. Great pictures and what a way to start my week off but with a BIG smile! :o)

How fun to see Carson doing her stuff! I loved how she used Fergus for a tripod! Those boys are lucky to have such loving parents and extended family around them for love and butt scratches!

Nancy,
Nothing different… I’m not sure why you can’t see the pictures. 😦 I promise they’re there and you’ll be able to see them later! 🙂

Loved reading both of your blogs back to back! Yours is kind of like “Access Donkey-wood” showing us behind the scenes! It is heart-warming to see such beautiful friendships among all of you: 2 and 4 legged.
(How long does it take to drive to each other’s place?)

Jane,
Thanks! It’s about an hour and a half each way, give or take.

“Access Donkey-wood” *snort*
There was hell to pay when I got home – my boys took one whiff of me and thought I’d forsaken them. It was worth it though.

Aunt Linda just doesn’t have enough hands for all the butts needing scritches. 🙂
I love all the photos. Lucky Linda!

Looks like a great time was had by all.
At some point there will be a picture of a human standing in the middle of four burrow butts, just trying to scratch them all…

Clicker training is wonderful.
Once they get the basic idea figured out, it’s limited only by the human’s sense of timing….. 🙂

Funny how much they love peppermints… almost as much as my hubby loves dark chocolate!

Some people swear by WordPress and say it is much more superior and offers better templates. I checked it out and for the life of me found it to be too confusing for my wee brain so I stayed with Blogger.
I’ve also heard WordPress users say that Blogger is much more unstable and quirky. I’ve just used Blogger from the start of my blogging days so it works for me.

Oh how I *love* that you live close enough for visits from Aunt Linda…it feels like such a treat to get to see pictures of HER! And her donkey-quadropod picture shooting technique? Brilliant!!
I got a giggle that “Carson” actually gets her own tag on your blog and everything. How special is that?!!
Hey Linda…you and I wear the same earrings. 🙂
