Pia,
She was sitting on the edge of the hose storage container just outside the barn.
I checked and she was back in her nest last night. 🙂

I’ve never seen a dove baby up close. Adorable!

C,
And she was very quiet… very smart to know not to move in order to be easily overlooked. I didn’t see her until I was right up on her to grab the hose to fill the boys’ water tub.
In the nest in the barn, I’d never know there was a baby up there if I didn’t see her tail feathers poking out. 🙂

Flartus,
I confess… I’m really into the close-ups lately because of the new lens that Don bought me for Christmas… 😀

Wow, it’s so early for baby birds of any sort.
Doves aren’t the brightest birds, but your mom and dad bird seem to have done a fine job. 🙂

CeeCee,
I’m truly amazed… especially considering the subarctic temperatures we all had a couple/few weeks ago.
I watched them sitting on the nest while we were having that horrid weather wondering what the outcome would be… 🙂

Hooray for spring! My granddaughter & I were cleaning out my lily beds this past weekend and she got so excited when she saw the “baby” plants coming up. Great shots Justina!

Awwww. 🙂
Around here, the boy birds are doing the “This is MY territory!” thing, but it’s way too early for nesting.
I noticed this morning that there is a cardinal nest in the boxwood next to our driveway — with 5″ of snow piled on it……

Vicki,
Isn’t she so sweet? And still fuzzy. 🙂
The bird I miss the most from Maryland is the cardinal. We don’t have them here. 😦

What a sweet looking little baby. I can’t believe any birds are birthing babies right now!! If it means spring is around the corner, then this is a wonderful post and music to my ears. We just got pounded again with snow two nights ago. Spring can’t get here soon enough!
