A cold front came through yesterday morning and brought rain showers along with it. When I heard the rain hitting the roof and saw the sun shining, I was hoping there would be a rainbow. I wasn’t disappointed.
The fall color of the cottonwoods created a perfect pot of gold.
But you know, I should have known better than to think I was going to capture a beautiful photo of the boys with the rainbow as a backdrop. Barnyard accosted me as soon as I set foot into the corral.
Instead, we headed into the barn, dried off the camera, and enjoyed the rainbow together. ♥

That was a spectacular rainbow and dark blue sky.
I do know the feeling of trying to photograph pets that would reather be in your pocket than stand still for a pose.
Good job!

Oh my… Bernard’s ears look like they are going straight back as you’re getting accosted… 🙂
What a fun boy!

Beautiful rainbow shots!
Every time I go in with the donkeys to take pictures, all I get is nose shots! I’m amazed that you can get so meny GOOD donkey pictures.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a double rainbow in the morning. I hope the rest of your day was as lucky.

LOVE Winter’s comment!!! So true!
Your photos are fun, and I can’t imagine anything more enjoyable than standing in a barn with donkeys to enjoy rainbows.
Though I suspect the burro boys were more interested in “pettings” than rainbows.

I wonder if all Rainbows are double ???? Sometimes I see what I think is a single bow but when I look closer the second one is there, however faintly. Of course in the city I don’t have the lovely backgrounds to set them off against like you enjoy in your more open spaces … and sadly no Donkey foregrounds either 😦

Yesterday’s rain was a lovely surprise and from our vantage point….only one bow in the sky and no cottonwood gold at the bottom. Just beautiful…..because of the donkeys, I’m sure. The Olde Bagg
