Don’t be alarmed. This is just a game. It’s called frozen in the snow, and Enzi loves to play it.

Don makes a monster hand, and Enzi makes a face in return.

Enzi maintains that face until Don moves his hand again, hence, she’s frozen in the snow.

There’s also an audio component to this game. It’s called hubba. You’ll have to wait for an upcoming Sunday Cinema for that.

You can imagine with five dogs, the Hairy Hacienda needs its fair share of vacuuming.

While everyone else does their best to avoid or attack the vacuum, Whisky absolutely loves to be vacuumed. He begs for it.

Seriously? Look at this face.

Yes, Mom is obsessed with eyes. She just loves them.

Suni is affectionately called our meermutt.

Mom and Dad say that Suni reminds them of a meerkat,

but she’s actually named after one of the smallest antelope found in East Africa; the suni.

Suni is Kike‘s sister. They are inseparable.

This is Kike. You pronounce her name Kee-Kay. Mom adopted Kike and her sister Suni from the Kenya SPCA in Nairobi, Kenya.

Mom named Kike after a cheetah who starred in the BBC’s Big Cat Diary. Kike is the Swahili word for feminine.

Dad is worried that when he visits the Kenya SPCA with Mom in November, she might want to bring home more dogs or possibly even a donkey or two.

Whisky is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever; the state dog of Maryland. Mom and Dad are from Maryland, so Whisky is sort of the canine tie to the place they grew up.

Whether he’s a water breed is never in question.

We looked and weren’t able to find that there’s a state dog of New Mexico. Does where you come from or call home have an official dog?

Baby Kassie is the primary reason we don’t have cats here at Morning Bray Farm. Unfortunately, we do get the occasional skunk. And, when we do, it’s inevitable that Kassie manages to meet with said skunk(s). Four times last year in fact.

To honor the beginning of the 2010 skunk mating season, Mom is sharing her recipe for skunk treatment. It works like a charm.

Combine one quart peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda and one tablespoon dish liquid. Wash dog with solution, let sit for a few minutes, then rinse.

Enzi is a diva. With a capital D. And she loves fish.

The Diva is from the Bahamas, which probably explains the whole fish thing. She’s a Royal Bahamian Potcake.

Mom brought her home from Nassau as a three-month old puppy almost nine years ago. Don’t even think you’re going to bring fish on this farm without the Diva knowing about it.
