The Fish Lovin’ Diva
Posted by Morning Bray under Dogs | Tags: Bahamas, diva, dog, Enzi, fish, Nassau, potcake, Royal Bahamian Potcake |[11] Comments
Enzi is a diva. With a capital D. And she loves fish.
The Diva is from the Bahamas, which probably explains the whole fish thing. She’s a Royal Bahamian Potcake.
Mom brought her home from Nassau as a three-month old puppy almost nine years ago. Don’t even think you’re going to bring fish on this farm without the Diva knowing about it.

Can you duet

We’ve been inseparable from day one. We’re two peas donkeys in a pod.
Mom said that if we ever started a blog, this would be one of the first pictures she’d post because it’s one of her favorites. It was taken the very first time we were put out in the pasture together.
Yes, we can duet. What do you think we’re singing?

The Morning Bray brand
Posted by Morning Bray under Donkeys, Farm, Friends and Family | Tags: Morning Bray Farm brand |[9] Comments
While Dad grew up on a farm, living at Morning Bray is a dream come true for Mom. You see, Mom grew up wanting to be Dian Fossey, live on a farm and have a bazillion four-legged children.
Once they moved to Albuquerque, it took them a while to decide what to name the farm. Once we were both here, Mom quickly decided on Morning Bray for obvious reasons. A few days later, Dad surprised us all with our new brand. We were so excited!
Then one December day, Carson gave Mom a wonderful surprise. An updated version of our brand. With donkey ears! Our brand was now alive and official. As a matter of fact, we owe a lot to Carson. Not only did she bring our brand to life, she helped Mom and Dad bring Ellsworth home, she hooked us up with an excellent vet and an amazing farrier, and she was there every time Mom called with questions.
Donkey hugs and kisses to Aunt Linda.

Ellsworth’s doin’ just fine

We’re feeling the love here at Morning Bray. Pleasantly overwhelmed, shocked and surprised sums up our feelings from all the visits and comments to our inaugural post yesterday.
Some of you remember me as the junkyard donkey. My cuts and scratches have all cleared up, I definitely don’t “bump” into things anymore and my mood has improved since being introduced to my new family. They can’t imagine life without me now.
